What is eVy?

THE PROJECT

The problem faced in the creation of this device has been to carefully design eVy in order to minimize conflicts and problems that appeared in late January 2010.

The study was supported by the world’s top experts in the field of disability. In particular, Giorgio Scoccianti  and Alfonso Apicella have dedicated their effort and abilities in providing their input in the field of assembling transport means for people with varied disabilities. As a matter of fact, it has been thought that the scope of the design of eVy, and since it is a high quality product, it can be used by both healthy people and by those who have disabilities.

The many products and prototypes and their intense use in different situations, often extreme, have yielded a considerable amount of data that the designers have used in order to improve the study and to ensure the best both in terms of security and ease-of use.

The product

eVy is a seat that is substantially different from any other similar product.

Once seated on a Segway PT, you may notice the great maneuverability of the system and the ease of use, which allow full control of the vehicle.

The first sensation is that of being free, with natural and simple body movements. eVy moves and turns in obedience to the commands given and its swivel chair (patented) facilitates these movements even more.

The careful and refined design with maximum security and safety, makes this vehicle a miracle of modern technology.
eVy has been studied in detail, establishing itself as the only real project to drive the Segway PT with total autonomy.
